We arrive in Fort Lauderdale to embark on the Viking Mars for her 21 day Atlantic Mediterranean Adventure
We are in Fort Lauderdale, awaiting our embarkation on the Viking Mars on March 27, 2025, for a 21-day “Atlantic & Mediterranean Horizons” cruise. This exciting journey includes 10 sea and 11 port days, with overnight stays in Barcelona and Florence/Pisa (Livorno), Italy.
Holland America has been our primary cruise line for over a decade, but we’ve also enjoyed voyages with Seabourn, Crystal, Celebrity, and others. This will be our second Viking Ocean cruise, the first being an 8-day Pacific Coast cruise on the Viking Orion in 2022. After arriving in Civitavecchia, Italy, we will fly to Athens to join Holland America’s Zuiderdam for the final 20 day segment of the 2025 Grand World Voyage back to Fort Lauderdale.
My wife, Judy, and I are particularly looking forward to the Atlantic crossing, as it gives us ample time to enjoy all the amenities Viking Mars has to offer. We will be staying in a Penthouse Veranda.
You will find three blocks on the right side of each post where you can link to the cruise map, a table with the cruise itinerary along with any interesting reference items we get on the cruise. I usually post the daily menu in the main dining room and daily program.
