Simone from Strings Alive! Rocks the World Stage
Every day at 9:30 in the Crows Nest the Cruise Director interviews a guest entertainer or a member of the crew. Today was the Dance Captain for StepOne dance company. She explained how she twisted her ankle during last evening’s first show, which resulted in the second show being canceled.
She is fine now and showed that her ankle was free of any support bandages or braces and was A-OK.
We love the StepOne Dance Company and never miss a show. They are all great dancers and the shows are a lot of fun.
It’s unusual to experience a thunderstorm at sea, but today as we sailed through a cold front, the weather on the open decks was horrible. Very chilly, high winds (but not so high they closed the promenade) but high enough where you didn’t want to spend much time outside.
We ordered lunch off the room service menu. The Roast Beef Panini and the Pulled pork sandwich. They were delivered in less than 30 minutes and were very good.
Strings Alive appeared for the second time on the World Stage and put on another marvelous show. They are very good and quite entertaining. Beverage service has now returned to the World Stage Theatre so we don’t have to swing by the Pinnacle Bar to grab drinks on the way to the theatre any longer.
Tonight’s playlist included:
Two Irish tunes – the Minstrel Boy & Toss the Feathers
– Bolero
– Canon in D looped with multiple instruments
– Concerto No 1 in E Major
– Eva Cassidy’s rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow
– Tune from Guns & Roses
– Queen Medly
Hi, Pete,
I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your blog. I’m a few years away from retirement, so can’t do a grand voyage or world cruise yet, but I eventually plan to do a circle South America and a circle Africa, as well as a world cruise. I really appreciate all the information you provide to help others prepare for long cruises. And I love following along with you and Judy on your adventures. You seem like a truly delightful couple with a great attitude. Enjoy the rest of your voyage!
Mo
Hi Mo,
Thanks for your kind word. I appreciate you following along. You are going to love doing the Grand Voyages once you have time!
