Relaxing in the Labrador Sea
Sea days are a chance for us to relax and catch up a little with my Blog.
We enjoyed a nice lunch today at the NY Pizza with fellow bloggers Tim and Angela. Tim shared with me a tip for using MS One Note to create my daily blog posts. I use One Note to track cruise planning and shore excursions but have never used it for entering daily blog posts. I have started using it and find it useful to track my posts and it synchs easily.
The NY Pizza is one of my favorite spots for lunch on the Pinnacle Class ships.
We had the third Tuxedo Junction tonight. I wore my gold and black Tuxedo Jacket for the second time. I brought 2 different Tuxedo Jackets on this cruise.
On longer cruises, I will bring four different jackets. Our philosophy on packing is to take what ever we want and pay what it takes to get it to the ship. One of the nice things about cruising is you don’t have to pack and unpack multiple times so bringing extra suitcases involves a single transfer to and from the ship which is acceptable to me to have everything I may need. We don’t plan our packing around the 50 lb weight limit. Compared to the cost of the total cruise, paying extra for bags isn’t that big a deal to us.
There were about 4-5 other men wearing tuxes, but the average man is probably wearing a sports jacket. If you want to blend in, wear a sports jacket with a tie. Once you arrive you can easily remove the tie if necessary.
The “Dressy Night” menus and decorations are no longer anything really special. Nevertheless, we enjoy dressing up as a change of pace from our normal attire and we always make it a fun evening. Cruising to us is about creating wonderful memories that last long beyond the cruise.
Step One Dance Company performed their second show this evening: – Musicology.
We are big fans of live entertainment, especially singers and dancers. Musicology is one of the original shows designed for the World Stage and they make full use of the incredible audio and visuals available on the World Stage.
