Day 49 – En Route Papeete, Tahiti
Coffee Chat was canceled due to a crew drill scheduled for the same time.
We spent most of the day catching up with photos and didn’t venture out of the cabin except to play a couple games of Texas Hold’em. The highlight of one of those games was when someone with a Full House was beat by Four of a Kind. Never fun.

Pete. I just signed up for your blog. Enjoying this immensely.
We met on the 2016 World Cruise. We shared the Jeep/van in Nuku Hiva where you and Judy were crammed into the back. I kept trying to get you guys to switch but you stayed back there. I only went as far as Australia as it was my first long cruise and didn’t know if I would like it. I shoulda stayed on!
Question: I see your itinerary has been changed. Did HAL do that or did the ports decide to refuse you admittance due to the coronavirus. Am wondering as I climb aboard the Maasdam in Papeete on March 15 for nineteen days going up to Hawaii and then over to your hometown.
And I see they are deciding on the 2022 itinerary. I think I like the one that goes around the bottom of Australia. I just might look into taking that.

As far as we know, HAL changed the schedule. We were told the Maldives is no longer taking ships. But that is the only one so far.
Tahiti to San Diego will be fun!
