Day 21, Buenos Aires
For the first time in the last few days, we didn’t have to get up early. We enjoyed sleeping in and ordering a late room service breakfast. The Glu’s breakfast menu has scrambled eggs, lunch meat and cheeses, with a variety of pastries and sliced fruit, along with coffee and tea.

The ms Amsterdam arrived this morning and we needed to back on board by 5:30 PM, but planned to return much earlier than that.
EVITA MUSEUM
A little after noon, we checked out of The Glu, but left our bags in their cloak room, while we took an Uber to the Evita Museum (Museo Evita), 1 ½ miles away.

The museum website is HERE and the Tripadvisor reviews are HERE
We arrived at the museum around 12:30 PM and spent 1 hour going thru the exhibits spread over 2 floors. Most of the signs were in English and Spanish, and there were a variety of movie clips, radio clips and a wide variety of clothing that she wore throughout her time in power.
After the museum we headed back to The Glu, relaxing in the lobby for an hour while we enjoyed some tea and coffee.

BACK HOME
At 3:30 PM we ordered an Uber and headed back to the ship, arriving at the cruise terminal about 4 PM. We crossed a busy street to get to the terminal, and spotted a few passengers getting off a shuttle bus, which gave us confidence that we were in fact at the correct terminal.

After we were back on board we learned that the ship was running a shuttle bus from the Cruise Terminal to Florida Street at Plaza San Martin, about 1 mile away.
As we approached the terminal, pulling our luggage, we were approached by a representative from HAL who asked if we were returning from an overland and verified our name against his list. We were the last people to return to the ship and had to clear Immigration before going back to the ship. He escorted us thru a large maze of hallways and roped off areas, until we approached a single immigration officer in a huge Arrival and Departure area. A few minutes later our passports were stamped and we were off to the shuttle bus to get back on the ship. In this an industrial port we needed to take a shuttle from the terminal to the ship.

When our cards were scanned on the ship, a window popped up and the security guard asked if we had cleared Immigration. It was possible for us to have missed the HAL representative and simply returned to the ship with the other passengers who were in Buenos Aires for the day, in which case we would have had to go back to the terminal and get everything sorted out.
We hadn’t had lunch yet so we ordered some Dive Inn hot dogs from the room service menu and started to get everything unpacked.
Tonight’s entertainment was a traditional South American Gaucho show including the Tango, Bolas, Tap Dancing and more. High energy and very entertaining.

Tomorrow was another port day as we arrive in Montevideo, Uruguay
